Whitelees Windfarm

Overview

This project involved soils boring and rotary drilling in some of the most inaccessible forest and peat bogs in Scotland. Hagglund BV206 all-terrain vehicles, as used by the Swedish Army, were acquired and fitted-out with drilling rigs. These vehicles allowed us drive-on access to the borehole positions.

The units are now available for use for any client with a similiar "difficult" site

The windfarm, the largest in the UK to date, will provide 322MW of electricity from its 140 turbines.
